SMS / Mobile Messaging Terms

These SMS Terms describe text-message communications sent through Go Participate, a youth-sports team management platform used by coaches, league administrators, and the parents and guardians of player participants. They are part of and supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
We do not share your SMS data — ever.
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in records, and consent information collected for text messaging are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to deliver the team and organization messages you have explicitly consented to receive.
The only third parties that ever see your mobile number are the SMS carriers and aggregators (such as Telnyx, Twilio, and your mobile carrier) that are technically required to transmit each message. Those providers are bound by contract to use the number only to deliver the message and may not use it for any other purpose.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in records, or any related consent information to any third party for any purpose other than delivering the messages you asked for.
Program description
Go Participate is a youth-sports team management platform. We send SMS messages on behalf of the organizations and leagues a parent, guardian, coach, or league administrator has joined through the Service. Typical messages include:
- Practice and game reminders
- Weather cancellations and schedule changes
- Dues, tournament-fee, and uniform payment requests
- Tryout follow-ups and roster confirmations
- Team announcements from coaches
- Account security notifications (login codes, password resets)
We do not send marketing or promotional SMS — only operational messages tied to the specific teams and organizations the recipient has joined.
Opt-in
You opt in to SMS in one or more of the following ways:
- Checking the SMS notifications box during family or coach signup
- Adding a mobile number to your account profile and enabling SMS notifications
- Accepting a team or organization invitation that includes text-message notifications
By opting in you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Go Participate related to the teams and organizations you've joined.
Message frequency
Frequency varies with the activity level of your team(s). Expect roughly 1–10 messages per week during the season; fewer outside of the season.
Opt-out
Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any text from us at any time to stop receiving SMS. You'll receive one final confirmation message and no further text messages from us. To opt back in later, reply START or re-enable SMS in your account notification settings.

Carrier and rate disclaimer
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Mobile numbers and SMS-related information are used solely to deliver the messages you have consented to receive. As stated above, this information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only sharing that occurs is the technically necessary transmission of each individual message via SMS aggregators and your carrier. Children
SMS communications through Go Participate are directed to adults — parents, guardians, coaches, and league staff. We do not knowingly send SMS to children under 13 and we do not collect a child's mobile number for SMS purposes without verifiable parental consent. See our Children's Privacy Notice.
Supported carriers
SMS supports U.S. and Canadian mobile numbers on major carriers. International delivery is best-effort.

We will post any changes to these terms here with a new "Last updated" date.
