Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Go Participate (the "Service"), operated by LetterB Global ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Players under 18 must be added by a parent or legal guardian. Children under 13 are subject to additional protections — see our Children's Privacy Notice.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@goparticipate.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Roles within the Service

Depending on how you use Go Participate, you may be a

• Family / parent / guardian — you manage your children's profiles and pay charges from organizations.
• Coach or organization admin — you manage teams, rosters, schedules, and collect payments from families. You agree to handle family information responsibly and in compliance with applicable law.
• League admin — you operate events, brackets, and compliance reviews.

Subscriptions and billing (organizations)

If you operate an organization or league, you may subscribe to a paid plan. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Payments collected by organizations from families

Organizations use the Service to request payments (dues, event fees, uniforms, etc.) from families. Those payments flow through each organization's own payment processor (e.g., Stripe Connect) directly to the organization. Go Participate is not the merchant of record for those transactions. Refund questions, disputes, and customer service for organization- collected payments should be directed to the organization.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users
• Send unsolicited or commercial messages through the Service's messaging features
• Upload illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content you don't own
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Probe or test the security of the Service without permission
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data
• Interfere with the Service's operation

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Content you provide

You retain ownership of content you upload or post (photos, documents, messages). You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating the Service for you and the organizations you've authorized.

Documents and the family vault

When you upload documents to the family vault, those files are encrypted in your browser before transmission. You are responsible for keeping your password and recovery key safe — if you lose both, the documents cannot be recovered, even by us.

AI features

Some features (AI Coach, AI Scout) generate suggestions using large language models. AI output may contain mistakes. Don't rely on it for safety, medical, or legal decisions.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Go Participate, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Johnson County, Iowa.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders.
